چکیده
GUARD Project: GSM cellular phones and the hearing system: effects of exposure of Sprague-Dawley rats and combined effects of gentamicin and microwaves exposure in Guinea-pigs. Progress report SVM-based criterion for classification and variable selection in AEPs recorded under electromagnetics fields. Effects of the electromagnetic field of mobile telephones on hearing of humans and rats. Study to evaluate the effects of mobile telephone usage on labyrinthine function Chronic exposure to radiocellular telephones and auditory system R. GUARD is proceeding as planned, on time and within budget. Animal experimentation and human experimentation are in progress and in the first months of 2004 will start the preparation of the first scientific papers about the results. The project activities and the results of GUARD continued to be presented at many national and international scientific conferences. This issue of the GUARDNews presents the Session " Potential Effects of Cellular Phones on the Hearing System " that GUARD project was asked to organize during the 6 th International Congress of the European Bioelectromagnetics Association (EBEA), on November 14, 2003 in Budapest, with the contributions of external experts working on the effects of microwaves and cellular phones radiation on the hearing and vestibular systems. The Session, attended by about 100 delegates, was chaired by T.E. van Deventer (WHO, Geneve) and P. Ravazzani (ISIB-CNR, Milan).

Humans are almost identical in their genetic pattern, but the slight differences in our DNA lead to remarkable phenotypic variation among the human population. There are a variety of microbial communities and their genes (microbiomes) in the human body that play an essential role in human health and disease. The microbes inhabiting our bodies is quite a bit more variable, with only a third of i...
